Shrine Circus protest

There are many reasons that people have joined the our group. Some for health reasons. Some for spiritual ones. Some for global hunger. Etc. And some joined for Animal Rights.
If you're one of the latter, there will be a protest against the Shrine circus, this Friday at 6 pm. (one hour before the 7 pm. show) at the Seagate Convention Center. I'm cross-posting this from Toledo Animal Advocates so it's not a Toledo Vegan/Vegetarian event per se. Just thought that some of our members would be interested in this.
And afterwards some of them are planning on going to the Degage cafe for dinner.

I understand that there probably will be a "next time", but I do hope that this turns out to be their "last time", forever.

If any of you people are interested in watching the documentary, "BOTANY OF DESIRE," our atheist group (GLA ) will be screening that Monday night (6pm) at Sanger. I haven't researched it, but sounds like it fits somewhat within the parameters of Vegetarian/Vegan worldviews. I don't really know, so it's just a thought at this point. I agree with you guys in protesting the circus treatment of animals.

If this is the PBS presentation of the Michael Pollen book, it sure looks interesting.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
