MEN AND MEDIA: THE INVISIBILITY OF MALE ISSUES (Presentation)

The Canadian Association for Equality and the University of Toronto Men's Issues Awareness Society proudly present:

MEN AND MEDIA: THE INVISIBILITY OF MALE ISSUES

* Politicians court the female vote while avoiding at all cost discussion of “male issues."

* Media makes gender the focus when an issue disproportionately affects women but gender is ignored when the vulnerable are majority men.

* Charities may ignore evidence supporting a balanced approach to service provision in order to privilege one gender with their programs.

Fred Litwin, President of the Free Thinking Film Society of Ottawa, will explore the dearth of
discussion of male issues in the political world, the media, government, and popular culture.

Thursday, September 27, 7:00 - 9:00 PM

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
