Hi Everyone I thought we had a sponsor for the group but it seems not. I have been paying to keep the group open. Many members have offered to help with the cost and I'll admit I don't want to pay it all myself anymore. As I thought we had a sponsor I didn't ask for donations but since that seems to have fallen through, I'm left scrambling a bit to make up the next payment. I've been a bit consumed with a family member who requires surgery and I apologize for not being better organized. I'd really appreciate it if the people who offered to send donations plus donations that they have collected from members who enjoyed paddling with them, would do so through paypal. I finally completed setting it up today. I think there is enough interest that we should try to keep the group open. If this method of payment doesn't work for you we can come up with an alternative. I'd rather not post my email address here. Please email me through this site and I'll provide it to you then. Thank you to Henry and Jytte for already making donations and to Bill who I will be meeting up with shortly. I think going forward if each of us who posts an event collects a toonie for each paddle from the participants that it will easily cover the cost of our group's meetup fee which is $72 each 6 months.
