Hello everyone!

I am very excited to announce an awesome event coming up for our group that promotes local, sustainable, healthy and nutritious organic produce as well as something we all care about, a world without price tags! Andrew Miller, one of our members, runs an organic farm called Back2Basics and he has been generous enough to donate 4,000 pounds of organic goodness to give away to the public on November 3rd, at Allan Gardens Park from 10am - 3pm. for more info on this organization please see Andrew on the Global News here:

The Zeitgeist Movement will be helping Andrew in three ways.

First, on October 30th, we are going to take a ride to Barrie to visit his farm and harvest all the vegetables we need for the giveaway. All volunteers are welcome to join us though if you can help with transportation please let me know.

Second, we will need help postering the neighborhood and promoting the event to our contacts to ensure the people who most need this food know about the giveaway and make it to the park on Wednesday morning
The third step is actually volunteering at the event itself to help with giving away the produce, interacting with the public and capturing footage of the event. If you are associated with any non-profit or charitable organization please let me know so we can try and find a way for them to get involved and promote this event.

This event is a great opportunity to get involved with the Toronto chapter and actively take part in helping people in our city who struggle to get healthy and nutritious organic produce regularly or at all so I look forward to seeing you there!
