I have approximately 35 blank dvds but no burner to burn them on because mine is broken. If any one would like to take my dvds and make copies of addendum let me know please,

thanks, Ian.

Nice guerilla gesture.   Seriously.  Very cool.   I approve :-)
If I was in town, I'd be there.
Gotta get to one of your meetings soon...
Good luck!

Hello everyone!

I hope all is well with all of you. For those who are new members I would like to welcome you to the group, if you have any questions or suggestions please let me know anytime.

As some of you may know, Michael Moore, the Academy Award winning documentarist, has a film entitled "Capitalism: A Love Story" opening this weekend. This film addresses many of the problems with our current economic structure and, though it doesn't provide any specific conclusions as Zeitgeist does, awareness is certainly a good first step. As most of you are likely aware, the torrent of Addendum is online and therefore burning a copy couldn't be simpler. I have burned about 50 copies of the film and will be handing out copies to patrons after they walk out of the movie this weekend and I hope some of you are able to do the same. Of course if you'd like to join me please let me know!!

You can find the list of theatres playing the film at this website: http://www.torontomovies.ca/movie/Ontario/Toronto/Toronto+Theatres/Capitalism%3A+A+Love+Story/20414

As each DVD needs a package to hold the disc I have also printed and included the following message with each copy I am handing out, feel free to use this or anything else you think might attract their attention. I have not included the term 'Zeitgeist' anywhere as this is a foreign word for many people and could turn them off (as least in my experience of promoting the film). I have therefore chosen "Nothing For Sale" as the organization's name for now, this will be a subject we can discuss in more detail at our next meeting.

Here is my message (in nicer font than shown here):

Hope you enjoyed the film!

Here?s another important movie for you,
About your life and mine, and things that are true,
So please pop in this DVD and be sure to hear,
An important message you will certainly hold dear!

Brought to you by Nothing For Sale pictures

Otherwise I've been trying to find a speaker for our meeting on the 15th but am stuggling to get any commitments thus far. I have contacted several organizations but nothing has been firmed up as of yet. Regardless the 'show must go on' as they say and as an alternative I will be showing a short film that condenses some of the ideas of Zeitgeist quite well. I hope to see you there on the 15th.

Cheers,
Ryan
