Science & Politics of Natural Gas Fracking in NC

Is the gas worth the risk to our wells? Will corporate-friendly rules keep us safe? Alarmed by the conservative push to do away with the state moratorium on natural gas fracking, Bronwyn Fadem started sitting in on town hall meetings and doing her own research on newly-appointed members of the NC Mining and Energy Commission. She will walk us through the science and politics of hydraulic fracturing in NC, which has now been super-politicized by the new Republic majority in Raleigh. Please join us to hear her presentation with discussion to follow. Free (but we usually pass the hat).
