Monday, May 6th at 7:30pm

Also join us for dinner@ 6:30PM @ Fullsteam before the film! Please RSVP below by April 26th if you are interested in buying delicious Indian food.

Gar Alperovitz and the Democracy Collaborative are working with the producers to set up screenings of Shift Change.  So we thought this would be a good sequel to the conversation that Gar Alperovitz began during his visit here in mid-March.

Following the film Dr. Sandy Smith-Nonini, anthropologist and coordinator of Recyclique/ CommunEcos, will lead a discussion of lessons learned from successful cooperatives, and implications for the Triangle area.

The film describes “True Stories of dignified jobs in democratic workplaces.” Viewers are saying: “Any new economy that is more just, democratic and green must open the door to more democratic forms of ownership.” $5/person suggested donation to offset costs of the screening package. Sponsored by Transition Durham www.transitiondurham.org and Recyclique/CommunEcos www.communecos.org
