Grand Budapest Hotel @ E Street Cinema (Chinatown)

UPDATE: We will be seeing the 6:15PM show but will begin gathering in the lobby at 5:30. I'll be holding a small, black-and-white polka dot umbrella. If you have already bought tickets for a different time, PLEASE CONTACT ME!!

This latest quirky (whatever that means) comedy from Wes Anderson follows an adventurous concierge who takes on a lobby boy as his protege at a hotel operating in the pre-war 1930s.

If you liked the deadpan, dollhouse atmosphere of Moonrise Kingdom, the Royal Tenenbaums, and Rushmore, reviewers say this movie should be a home run.

Speaking of sports, there's no Capitals game on the weekend of the 22nd, so Clyde's should be safe for post-movie drinks.

"THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL recounts the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune -- all against the back-drop of a suddenly and dramatically changing Continent. this time I promise to show up in time (and to buy my ticket well in advance so I don't end up in weird places). Are we going to the 5:45 showing?
