"Rosemary's Baby's"- script analysis and screening -this Thursday!!

Like they say, "It takes one to know one"

And where good movies and good screenplays are concerned, knowing how to spot a good one goes a long, long way to being able to write and produce a good one!  So - to that end - we’re going to start delving into a variety of films with award winning screenplays in order to try to see what makes them so dawg gone good - at least in the eyes of scores of "beholders" far and wide!

Eric suggested that we put it out to the group to select one or two films every month whose screenplay won a prize at the Oscars, at Cannes, at Sundance or at any other significant film venue, and that we have a MOVIE NIGHT where we watch and discuss the final, produced film - bringing to bear all and everything that we know about good screenwriting.

So, we’ll get together at Eric’s place - along with members of the TC Screenwriters and the MN Filmmakers Meetups - starting on June 27th, but every Third Thursday after that to watch a film, to share some eats, and to really dig into what we like, love, hate or couldn't care less about in these "award-winning" productions.

We'll start with a horror/ sci-fi film:

Rosemary's Baby ... and you can get the scrip here:

After that, we continue to take votes on what to watch, sticking with films whose screenplays are available online – so that we all can read them either before or after the viewing.

Here are a few sites where you can read and /or download scrips for free.

This event is open to all members and their guests.  Please feel free to bring some treats to share! We'll meet at 6:30pm for a kind of happy hour and we'll start the film right at 7:00pm

See you at the movies!!
