SOLD OUT!!! Live CBT Sessions with Professor Windy Dryden & Networking.

Dear Members.

The Institute of CBT Coaching is sponsoring this event so admission is only £4.00. Everyone is welcome. This meet up will be a great chance to see CBT in action and learn from live demonstrations with Professor Windy Dryden and volunteers from the audience. After each demonstration the audience are invited to ask Professor Dryden and his volunteer questions. This is an enjoyable and effective way to learn and share ideas at a fabulous central London venue.

If you are new to CBT or thinking of training as a CBT coach, then this is an excellent opportunity to see demonstrations and network with therapists and coaches as well as people who are interested in CBT, psychotherapy or psychology.

The Institute of CBT Coaching will provide a continuing professional development (CPD) letter confirming two hours of CPD.

Volunteers means you! We will need 2-3 volunteers for the live demonstration sessions so please let me know if you would like to volunteer and have some free therapy or coaching. Windy is happy to go with whatever you bring. Let me know if you have any questions.

If you would like the opportunity to network and share ideas with other members then please arrive at 6.00pm. Hot drinks are available or bring a bottle of water with you. This is a great venue to meet and network with other members.

Blackwell’s bookshop will be providing books by Windy Dryden to buy and have signed by the author.

I look forward to meeting you at The UK CBT Group.

Hi Bev have a look at the RSVP's for the event. Don't worry if you don't know anyone it's a friendly group and you will have the opportunity to make plenty of new contacts.

My first meet-up and first instance of seeing live CBT. Very different to the person-centred approach I am training in, but quite fascinating too. Windy has great comedic timing too, I would have loved to stay and get a book signed but unfortunately the overrunning meant I had to move fast for the sitter. My loss! :-)

Excellent as usual - these meetings are so informative/ interesting. worth the effort for me in Rochester to get there. The lady (sorry i forget your name) with the fear of her car turning over - what could have been the orgin of this ? I suspect a psychodynamically informed exploration of this may have been useful, especially at it also seemed to be symbolically related to issues with her work in Swindon. Iimpressed however with the pragmatic and incisive interventions of RECBT wirh this problem - which provided an effective intervention strategy.
Studying ACT, it is interesting to see RECBT adopting some mindfulness techniques, but only after the rational beliefs are understood- this is a highly sensible idea - because ACT practitioners have to spend ages explaining why they do not attempt to offer any belief reconstruction to their clients. Mindfullnes is very useful, and combined at the appropriate times with RECBT - what powerful model for change ? Windy, excellent stuff!

Thank you Windy. What a fabulous treat made all the better by being given the opportunity to participate in the demonstration. It has given me much to think about and to work towards incorporating in my own practice. A big thank you also to Phil and Nicola.

very very good event. sound was a bit of an issue imitially but aoon overcome.

format was a little flawed in that discussions post demonstrations focussed more on cliemt issues than therapist technique. all in all well worth attending. windys relational skills were sublime and a pleasure to see live.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
