Join us in the Trenches of Agile Methodology

We are a group of Vancouver based professionals involved in software development who strive in the path of excellence and personal growth by building a community of mixed roles and different levels of prowess; meeting new people and exchanging notes on our real world experiences from what we read in books or see in conferences.

We follow the principles of the Agile Manifesto, and wish to create a welcoming environment for people new or curious to Agile to understand its merits and promises, to decide if this methodology will work for them. We invite the more seasoned people in the industry to come and share their takes and views, and to help spread the word and the promise of Agile.

Meet other local people interested in better software development practices and methodologies. Software development is a very young discipline when compared to construction projects. While the main stream PMI based waterfall approaches have their merits, agile and lean methodologies are gaining popularity for good reasons. Even better approaches might be lurking around the corner.

By meeting and discussing interesting topics, participants can improve their practices and potentially influence their companies to adapt better software development processes.

This is not a networking group, since there are excellent such groups already out there that are doing a very fine job. we are here to learn, teach and improve ourselves through collaboration and exploration of new ideas and innovative methods.
