CosPlay Trap. A CosPlay group has been mysteriously invited to a meeting. Before the meeting gets started, strange things begin to happen. CosPlay people go missing and it seems there is nothing anyone can do. What are they going to do?

Don't be shy. It is a great day of shooting fun. Bring your minds, spirit and bodies to the set. Anything you want to do is going to be helpful. We still need Craft Services, First Aid, Props, Supporting Cast, Camera people, People to beet up, Makeup, and anything else you want to do for fun.

If you were at the Wednesday Production Meetup, you don't need to pay the film fee. You payed it at that Meetup.

This is the chance you all been asking for. A chance for our films to be aired on TV. Cameras will be following every step of our process. That means that everyone at this filming will be on TV. I need for you to RSVP me as soon as possible because I do believe that space will be limited. So if you want to be on TV, RSVP me now.

There is another up side to this. Shaw TV is willing to train the people who want to crew the Shaw TV show for free. You will learn what you need to know to make a professional production and have something for your resume that would actually help you get a job in this industry. There is Editing, ENG Camera, Studio and Control Room training. This training would cost you an arm and a leg at a school but it will be free for The Vancouver B Movie Factory Gang Members.

This is the start of great things to come. I'm very excited and so should you.

Jimi Stewart

I had a BLAST!!! I've never played the antagonist before and I thoroughly enjoyed being the evil villainess. I guess it released the angry, demonic, pent-up vengeful nature in me. And EVERYONE'S acting was so good! Loved the script and the directing and the amazing dedication of the camera people! Loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

It was fun working with the cast and crew of the B-Movie Factory on "The Dark Whisperer" screenplay by Brian Woodroff. Director Cindy Bruce jammed two days of shooting into 9 hrs. (Call 10 am - Wrap 6:40 pm) with some help at the end to get it done by the Grand Poobah Jimi Stewart. The iPad Slate didn't work at the end and JTCooper had to announce and clap hands to mark the scene/shot/take. Cameraman JM Santiago was in the "zone" with Tod Whalen's (CosPlay Ghost Buster) Canon 5D Mark III camera and 24 - 105 mm lens. Steve Braun kept the cast and extras ready with rehearsals.
And packed coats for exterior shots in the cold.

The CosPlay cast were "quiche" in their fantasy and action figure costumes. Dr Who? We've been here before with comic book artists and now live action figures.

The Field House at South Park Memorial was a great location thanks again to Cloudscape Comics.

Hey, gang. I'm sorry I had to duck out before the shoot wrapped. It is Sunday, and the temple has it's weekly night feast and I rely on that for my day-after lunch for work. Plus I had pre-arranged plans to meet up with a buddy before hand at around 6. I hope all my footage I shot turned out ok and satisfactory enough. It was difficult with the Go Pro to be sure on accounta no side viewer to rely on like with my camera. I hope it turned out ok and I apologize for the shots I didn't manage to get but all the scheduling both with the shoot and my outside plans fumbled that progress. Hope the rest goes successful for you guys. Cheers and Peace!

We are going to need a laptop at the end of the day to get all the files from all the cameras. Any suggestions?

I also have a card reader slot built into the computer & an actual card reader with different slots that will hopefully suit everyone's cameras.

How does it work with the training provided by Shaw? Would I have had to sign up for a specific course (editing, eng camera, studio, control room) at last Wednesday's meeting?

Hey Martin. You just got to http://www.shaw.ca/Sh... and sign up for a work shop. It's free and The Vancouver B Movie Factory members get to the top of the list. You just have to tell them in your email that you are a member and your in if space permits. If you get in, please email me what workshop you are doing.
