April book club

Hi everyone,

In April, we'll be reading The Lifeboat, by Charlotte Rogan.

We'll be meeting on a Wednesday this time (and technically, not in April).

The book can be found online on Amazon.ca and at Chapters.

It is also available at The Book Warehouse (632 West Broadway) and if you mention that it is for a book club, you get a 10% discount.

It is also available in several branches of the Vancouver Public Library.

We'll be meeting at Rockford, on Broadway at Burrard.

Westbound #9, 14, 16, "Pine Street", Eastbound "Burrard Street". #10 Granville at Broadway. There is also validated parking in the alley.

This month, something new: let's all bring one question for the discussion. It'll make things more lively!

I'm looking forward to the next one, these meet ups sound great. It'll be my first time doing anything remotely like this, and being new to town I'm very excited. What's the next book gonna be? :)

This was my first Girly Book Club meeting and I had a great time chatting about The Lifeboat. Thanks to everyone for the thought-provoking discussion and special thanks to the organizers for coordinating this in the first place!

Hey! Just tell the host/ess you're here for the book club. We have our own dining room, so they'll point the right way. See you soon!

Looks like I have conflicting events on this date and don't think I will get very far into the book so I will let somebody else have my spot! I will see everyone at the next meeting though :)

Hi everyone. I am new to Vancouver and new to book clubs so I'm wondering if there's enough time for me to join in on this months event or whether I should wait for May?

What type of questions did you have in mind?

    March 25

    • Audrey

Anything, really. We usually start off with the publisher issued questions, but it might be neat to see what anyone thinks. It doesn't have to be a general question about the book, it can be a comment on something specific, or something you noticed. It might make the discussion a little more personal that way.
