It's time to celebrate the holidays; Christmas int he big city! Bring your spouses, kids, significant other(s), friends, family and anyone that might be interested in video!
This will not be the typical production meeting - we will have the following events:
Africa - Behind the Lens - Craig Walker
Craig just got back from a shoot in Africa as an Assistant Camera Operator. This presentation with video, photos and audio will cover his experience from pre-prep to post and everything in between. See what it was like to leave your home country and shoot a documentary & music video in some of the larger cities, poverty stricken villages and remote jungle travel-ways. What it was like to have someone ask for the water bottle in your hip pocket, or shoot a scene with an armed militia covering your back; How the whole experience impacted him and his outlook as a camera operator!
White Elephant Gift Exchange - Host: Britta
For everyone who wants to participate...merely bring a white elephant gift (~$10) to be exchanged at this meeting! It can be your choice...gag or something really super you have in your house that you've been dreaming to give away!
- Please note, not everyone is 18 or over, so please keep it pg-13
- Anyone that brings a gift can participate. Adult, Children, Members, non-members, and guests.
- One gift per person.

In its most basic form, the gameplay is as follows: Each participant supplies one wrapped gift. A numbered drawing will determine in what order you will take turns choosing gifts. The first person opens a wrapped gift and the turn ends. The second person then chooses whether to open a wrapped gift or "steal" a previously opened gift. If a person has his gift stolen, he also has the option of choosing a wrapped gift or stealing an unwrapped one. A gift can only be stolen twice. When a wrapped gift is opened, the turn ends. When all gifts have been unwrapped, the game ends.
Dessert Celebration
iHop and The VPN will be providing dessert during the White Elephant Exchange for all members that are current on their yearly dues. If you have only paid your activation fee and still need to pay dues, you can do that at http://www.thevideoproductionnetwork.com/dues
Just a quick note: iHop does not charge us for the use of the room - so if you can, order dinner from the menu to show them how much you appreciate the support. Also, please remember, all that do order, need to make sure they pay their bill on the way out at the end of the meetings!

Everclear, wow, I've saved it for cold weather watercolors to keep the paint from freezing on the paper. Okay, I did take an occasional miniscule nip. By the way, what's a jell-O shot?

Splendid evening. The Africa, Kenya, documentation was intense, makes you think three times about our standards of living, advantages we live every day without considering them, etc. The gift exchange was superb and great camaraderie. A superb evening.
