Introduction

Hi. I'm Jamie and I'm interested in joining to connect with others whom posses similar creative goals. In college I double majored in film, television production and theatre arts. I want to revive my passion for story telling as a collective art.

What area of Video Production are you most interested in (camera, editor, sound, acting, writing)?

I've been exposed to and have some experience in all aspects pre, initial, post prodduction (accept cg special effects). As of this moment I'm interested in writing. Without some good content to film there is/are no project/s. Yet ultimately I'm preparing to carry a project/s from concept through to exhibition. Though I was formaly trained as an actor in college my interests pertain mostly to directing and coaching. But still, if the appropriate character needs cast I could rise to the occasion. My secondary main focus at thiz moment is casting/acting. Id like to write a character and subsequently the story around a single actors abilities and range; instead of trying to find the write actor for an over extending role. Just gotta find one actor, forthis project, that is willing to comit to me/us through to the end and I can take it from there. Moving on.

Do you own your any of your own gear?

I have a Cannon 60D with the 18mm - 135mm focal length lens. A steady cam system. A shoulder mounted 15mm rail system with mattebox and follow focus will be purchased. Also a diy jib and slided are being researched at the moment. I want a mole kit but may just rent before investing that much. Besides, the light requirements in these days of digital photography are a bit more flexable compared to those of emulsion film(I was trained as a DP for good old fashion emulsion film). Plus I realy want to see how much lighting ccan be accomplished utilising scoops only. I also have cart blange access to a final cut pro station. Aswell access to a Cannon 550D if needed(which has the same chip as the 60D, bolstering consistency.

Do you consider yourself a video professional, amateur or enthusiast?

Not getting paid to this. Thiz is strictly for love of the game. But my abilities and knowledge I believe are departed from the "amature profile" and boarder on something closer to "I know what the fuck I'm doing". :-)

What project topics are you most interested in (commercials, indy, weddings, docs, sports)?

1)Indie. 2)commercial. 3)docs. 4)sports. 5)weva

What do you hope to get out of this group?
