ChildVoice International is a Christian organization seeking to restore the voices of children silenced by war. ChildVoice International's programs recognize that someone must speak for the thousands of children rendered voiceless by unspeakable brutality and unimaginable inhumanity. ChildVoice acts on the conviction that children broken by war can be restored in safe communities with loving care, spiritual and emotional counseling, and effective education and vocational training.
My name is Bibiane and I am a volunteer of ChildVoice International www.childvoiceintl.org which opened its doors about 3 years ago and operates in a little village called Lukodi north of Gulu in Northern Uganda. ChildVoice International is concerned with the rehabilitation of former Child Soldiers that went through a horrific experience while abducted by the “Lord’s Resistance Army”. ChildVoice International was able to establish a centre in the village of Lukodi which is now able to support over 30 girls and their 36 children. Not only are these girls provided with food and shelter but they also receive educational & vocational training as well as the word of the Lord by Christian volunteers and teachers who are dedicated to help and give these girls a future filled with hope.
Reason for starting this group:
Childvoice International is a very young but incredible humanitarian organization that likes to reach out to find people like you who would love to support us. My purpose as volunteer is to find people who would love to support me with organizing and participating at fundraising projects like art & crafts, bead selling, charity parties, public relation work to reach out to media (TV, Radio, Newspapers) and create an awareness in the Atlanta, GA area. But there are many more fun ways to support Childvoice International. We need your input and ideas!
Who should join:
People who have the desire to help, support others and love to dedicate their time for fun projects and public relation work to help our children in Lukodi, Uganda.
People who have a creative and positive mind and are open for good team work.
People who like to plant seeds and grow something strong out of it!
People who think that their God given skills and gifts should be utilized for a good cause.
I am looking forward to meeting you!
