1st ed./2nd ed. Advanced Dungeons & Dragons-Greyhawk Campaign

Our party of adventurers has two new members, a Dwarven Fighter/Cleric and an Elven Thief. With their new numbers, new skills, and taste for adventure they feel it is time to leave the safety of the Keep. The party now has (7) seven members as they set off in search of new adventure.

They spend several days traveling northeast along the road. With each encounter along the way, the 3rd level Cleric displays some of his new skills and befriends a lion determined to make a meal of the Dwarf. His new Animal Friendship spell takes affect. However, not knowing the limits of the spell, the lion grows hungry and bored while the Cleric sleeps. The lion wanders off in search of food. Our heroes wake to find the lion has left. The Ranger uses his improved tracking abilities and the party follows the lion tracks off in another direction. Unable to locate the lion, they encounter a brown bear. The battle is on! Surviving this encounter, they decide to get back on the road and seek adventure. They soon find that they are in lion country, and survive two more lion attacks they camp at the edge of the forest. Here a small band of Kobolds try a midnight ambush. They are quickly dispatched. Although the interrogation techniques of the group fail, the Kobold tracks give insight to where they came from and possible new adventure.

In the morning the party starts following the Kobold tracks back into the thick forest. This proves to be a slow and tiring task of cutting through the thick underbrush retracing the Kobold's path. Making slow progress nightfall soon arrives and the party looks for a suitable campsite. The Half-Orc Fighter starts clearing away small trees and bush with his battle axe. Good idea? It seemed like it at the time... From above large spiders start falling from the trees... 1, 2, 3, 4... [masked]!!! The spiders are dispatched, and this is where we will begin again.

Tonight may prove to be the best encounters todate! Don't miss it!
