May 25 - 31, 2014 OR Sept 14 - 20, 2014 A classic 'must do' for any adventure traveler, join a group of fun, like-minded people on a 7 day group trek to Machu Picchu.

On this fully supported and guided group trek, we'll travel along the less crowded and less touristy Salcantay Trail through the Andes Mountains on ancient Incan trails to Machu Picchu, one the 7 Wonders of the World. View snow-capped mountains up close, soak in natural hot springs along the trek, and take a scenic train ride that follows a river through dramatic mountain valleys. It's an adventure that just can't be missed!

After the trek, why not join the group on an optional 3d/2n visit to the Amazon Rainforest!

NOTE: On this trek, we'll have a full support staff, including cooks, local guide, and porters (with horses) to carry all our gear and setup our camps. -----------------------------------------------------------------

How did you guys enjoy this? I'm thinking about going to the one in September and would love your feedback. Did you feel like you missed out in not doing the official inca trail? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mastevano - They are both official Inka trails but this one is less traveled. In my opinion, it's better.

I have been there already. I stayed at a hotel en aguas calientes, Perú is beautiful! Make sure you eat the coca leaves or coca candy. It helps bc of the altitude. It's best to go in the fall bc of the rain in the Amazonas. I went in Oct. I have family in Peru. If you want I'm sure they have wild guinea pigs to eat :) it's different from those here it's more plump there. As an FYI if you want to go to huyanopicchu You have to do a 1 yr reservation before hand. Also they are planning to do so for macchu pichu bc it's sinking due to people walking and rain.
