I looked on the website and it told me that this trip is sold out. Is that true?

Hi Vicki - For this month it is sold out. Don't worry though, there is another one launched for May 2014. There is still availability.

I am sorry but this date is too close to the start of my new job to take time off. My employer would never allow it so soon. I know there is another one headed to Machu Picchu in 2014 though-that one for sure!

Dear Kevin & Melissa-I am pleased to learn that the trip to MP is more likely to take place in May of next year. At that time, I will have much more cash than I currently do and will have been at my job long enough that asking for time off, as opposed to right now, will not be inappropriate. I appreciate you, Kevin, for making arrangements to accommodate those like Melissa and I who need this. I look forward to going to MP next spring. My girlfriend, who will be in Taipei and Manila until Oct. 2 may also want to attend, which would have been impossible given the initial departure date. Thank you once again Kevin and please send me details when the new dates and prices have been confirmed. I look forward to seeing you guys at the monthly meetup in Sept.!

Just got back last week from hiking the Inca Trail. I went with G Adventures, they were amazing! Day 3 was for sure my favourite day of hiking. During the entire trail make sure you turn around from time to time and look where you just came from. We had clear weather it was as awesome view in every direction. Took me a day to get used to the Altitude in Cusco, super weird loosing your breathe walking across the room. Second day all was good. Def pack for all seasons. Enjoy everyone!!

I've done this trek and it was one my favorite all-time vacations! You'll have a blast! Just know it is physically rigorous between the hiking and altitude so be prepared

I am from Peru (Lima) , and have done this trip several times, but as an advice to people that have not been in such altitute....Cusco is really high, Macchu Picchu sits at a very high altitude, but even at higher atlitude is Pissac, DO NOT SKIP on buying SOROCHE PILLS when you get to Lima, you can also take coca leaves tea but not sure how people feel about that. Cusco has micro climates so be aware to bring clothes for every possible weather you could imagine. For those of you who would like to spend time in Lima, feel free to ask, I lived there for 22 years and can tell you where to go and where not Enjoy the trip....and as a Peruvian ambassador, welcome to the land of the Incas !!!! ; )
