It's July, time for a hot summer sail!

We will meet at PBSC once again.

We will dinghy out to the boats so you must be fit and able to get on the boat.

We will be out for 3 to 4 hours so bring what you need; snack, beverage (beer/whine O.K in moderation), sun protection, and swimwear. Swimming is likely.

We will go out in the big blue Atlantic, weather permitting. If you get seasick plan ahead. It is sad to go back because of one person.

The bar at PBSC will be open and food will be available so please stay and check out the club.

We will have 4 or 5 boats going but may have to turn a few away. If you rsvp and don't show, someone that could have gone will not because of you.

Sea you sailing!

Matt

Sailing is always unpredicable and we got caught by a major squall that seemed to come out of nowhere. I think it was mother nature hazing any of us who've not experienced a rogue wave, or some other sort of an unanticipated weather or mechanical event. With Susie at the helm and Matt handing all the sails, it demonstrated how those two pros really know what to do under adverse conditions.

A great summer day on the Gulfstream was punctuated by a sudden squall to show of the sailing skills of the Captains. This exiting day of sailing will be the topic of conversation for many a day. Thanks, again to Captain Eddie, for the generous and welcoming reception aboard his ship and to Commodore Matt for organizing the squadron and his ceaseless dedication to the members of the Palm Beach Sailing Club.

Merci beaucoup, Matt, for taking us out! First time in over a decade that I felt ALIVE! Special nod to Susie (sp?) for taking the helm as First Mate from our "Commander" when needed! Enjoyed meeting Dan & "les girls" also. Cheerz to all!

Thanks Eddie. It was a great experience for us even though the water was high and rough. Since Goya didn't feel well we had to rush back home, I couldn't help you enough. Thanks again for everything. -Goya & Keith

Today was a day that Mother Nature wanted to test you a bit. She knows how to make you feel alive. 30KTS of wind and rain will do that!
I want to thank Don Chilair and Eddie Singer for taking us sailing. As for me and the Evelyn B we made it. And a special thanks to Susie Van Pelt for her fantastic sailing skills realy helped me.
