New Year's Eve

  • December 31, 2012 · 7:00 PM

Hello Everyone:

Well, another year is just about in the rearview mirror. It's almost time to welcome in 2013. This year the group will be gathering at Mullen's in Lisle where we will be entertained by  Libido Funk Circus. Many of the members of our group are familiar with this band and several of our group gathered this past Summer to see them at a Naperville 'Concert in the Park'. We can attest to the energy and showmanship they exhibit. They are an excellent dance band! It will be Fun!

A Mullen's New Years eve ticket includes party favors, a champaign toast, raffle tickets (Ipod, Bulls Tickets, Hotel Stay, Band Paraphernalia, etc.) and a pizza buffet at midnight. It does not include dinner or drinks. Doors open at 7:00. Tickets need to be purchased ahead of time by calling Angie at [masked]-0240. She will mail them to you. The cost is $30.00 (increasing to $40 Dec. 23rd).

Wishing Everyone a Very Merry Christmas!

Steve

Originally formed as an over-the-top tribute to the Disco music of the 70's, Libido Funk Circus has been relentlessly entertaining a wide range of audiences since it's inception in 1996. Crystal, Thank you so much! That is the one thing that works. But other then my bath I don't know where there is a heated pool. I really appreciate any advise or help I am so tired of these drugs for pain. Also with the Epsom salts. Take care, Laura

Laura, check with your doctors about using a swimming pool or warm water therapy pool to exercise.

I'd love to go because I am a musician who used to play guitar & sing in rock bands but I don't drink. Also, I am embarrassed because of the steroids I take for a lung illness caused 60 lb of weight gain. I was shocked when I got out of the hospital that on an IV diet I gained 40 lbs already. I've not been anywhere because I feel so humiliated by the weight gain & I can only do certain exercises because I was hit by a drunk driver & that broke my back in 4 places. I can hike, bike & maybe dance though. I am
still debating until I loose some of this weight.
Thanks all of you for your support though. I miss being 5'7 and 130 lbs. Its so hard to get used to & I hope I never have to so I'm trying to see what exercise I can still do in winter.
Love ya & if I can't go I hope you have a great time! Laura

Doors open at 7:00. Cheryl and I are counting on being there then to get a table and dinner. Still wondering why we had such a low response, but it doesn't matter - we will have a Great time.

Love has a way of blinding even the sharpest minds. But once love is stripped away, we see the real person clearly.
Wishing all a healthy and rewarding 2013 and hope we can see the good in those around us...Happy New Year

Last Year we had 31 members for New Years Eve. Don't know why it is so light this year, but even if it is only a few of us - we will have a fantastic time. Libido Funk Circus is excellent!

Gosh it sounds like fun (since I figured I'd be watching the ole Ball drop in NYC like we've been doing every night for the past ........years).

I'll think about it- my parents always said it was amateur drunk night!
