Just started biking this week. My first attempt was a 10 miles strech on a biking trail in Overland Park. Loved it! Was sore next morning. Getting ready to do it again in a couple of days.
Not sure, just started riding this week.
Have fun, cardio, loose some weight, tone up.
I don't have one yet - biked just for a few days. Drank a lot of water during a break and after. Ate a bagel after the ride.
Welcome to "Kansas City's Friendly, Frugal Fun Seekers", Iggy! Good to see you in my group as well. We look forward to seeing you at one (and many, many more) of our events soon!
Thank you for your interest in KC Abolitionists, Skeptic. I hope together we can come with some good ideas and do some good. - Todd
I only have ONE horse... I think she's fine. She's living the good life in Pleasant Hill, MO with a horse trainer/farrier friend of mine. I tried to give her to him but he said he'd just watch/ride her for me this winter and hope my employment situation improved. Hopefully, I'll be riding her again when the sun comes out and stays out and move her back to Kansas.
By the way, Iggy, you did a great job of moderating, and i was quite suprised. I expected more fire and brimstone from you! LOL! As to Dr. Miller's references, many of them contain contributions and chapters by scientists. The book on Galileo exposes many myths propagated by atheists .As for "original sin", whatever you mean by that, Dr. Miller did a good job of showing you aren't going to get ethics from science. Do you think Sam Harris shows the way as Soni seems to? No way.
Don't forget to post the Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist event at McCoys July 2 !!
Hi there! I see your request to join Kansas City Book Club. Might you have a personal profile with which you could join rather than an organization's profile? If not, no worries ... just let me know. Thanks!
Just want to invite other FreeThinkers to join the KCK FreeThought and Recovering from Religion groups in our hosting of the movie "The Invention of Lieing". We will be showing it in the large auditorium at the Wyandotte West Library in KCK, at 1:30 p.m. on February 21. Come join is for a great movie and discussion of the ideas and concepts presented in the film. More info on our Meetup pages.
I'm trying to let everyone in and around KC know about the upcoming Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist Show. There will be a one night performance of the comedy at Westport Flea Market, Dec 2, 7PM. See www.samsingleton.com for tickets, info, reviews, photos, videos...etc. Please help me get the word out to all local groups who are interested in freethinking issues and who want to have fun. See you there!
