Introduction

Just started biking this week. My first attempt was a 10 miles strech on a biking trail in Overland Park. Loved it! Was sore next morning. Getting ready to do it again in a couple of days.

Where is your favorite place to ride?

Not sure, just started riding this week.

What are your goals?

Have fun, cardio, loose some weight, tone up.

What is your favorite post-ride beverage or snack?

I don't have one yet - biked just for a few days. Drank a lot of water during a break and after. Ate a bagel after the ride.

I only have ONE horse... I think she's fine. She's living the good life in Pleasant Hill, MO with a horse trainer/farrier friend of mine. I tried to give her to him but he said he'd just watch/ride her for me this winter and hope my employment situation improved. Hopefully, I'll be riding her again when the sun comes out and stays out and move her back to Kansas.

Now we have infiltrators from KC, that den of iniquity? Did Steven George send you to spy on us?

By the way, Iggy, you did a great job of moderating, and i was quite suprised. I expected more fire and brimstone from you! LOL! As to Dr. Miller's references, many of them contain contributions and chapters by scientists. The book on Galileo exposes many myths propagated by atheists .As for "original sin", whatever you mean by that, Dr. Miller did a good job of showing you aren't going to get ethics from science. Do you think Sam Harris shows the way as Soni seems to? No way.

Welcome back, Iggy ... I think. I won't make any jokes about your behaving yourself. I have faith in you. Not a lot, but faith that's only the size of a mustard seed is supposed to count for something.

Hi there! I see your request to join Kansas City Book Club. Might you have a personal profile with which you could join rather than an organization's profile? If not, no worries ... just let me know. Thanks!

I'm trying to let everyone in and around KC know about the upcoming Sam Singleton Atheist Evangelist Show. There will be a one night performance of the comedy at Westport Flea Market, Dec 2, 7PM. See www.samsingleton.com for tickets, info, reviews, photos, videos...etc. Please help me get the word out to all local groups who are interested in freethinking issues and who want to have fun. See you there!
