There are many of our members who are working on their own writings and would like to share these and get input from others.  We typically have always suggested a prompt and have written short stories or poems with the theme of the prompt in mind.  I'd like to change it up a bit and still offer a prompt for those who'd like to have a theme to write about, but also offer each person 10 to 20 minutes to share what they've been working on.  So, if you want to do the prompt, then please do it, but if you are working on something and would like to share and get input, then please bring a few pages of that.  You don't need to do both.  The prompt is only a suggestion.  If you want input, please bring paper and pen, too.  This month's prompt is about an funny adventure (fiction or non-fiction) that involved the police--please keep it light.  For example, teenagers having a loud party and the police are one really gets in trouble or injured, but maybe a kid spills beer on a policeman and the policeman reeks of alcohol for the rest of his duty.  Please keep the length to less than 5 pages.  If you want to bring a snack and/or drinks to share that would be appreciated.  We typically have 6-10 members who show up for these meetups.  Looking forward to seeing you all there!  Thanks, Sabrina

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
