Meet Up to Identify and Taste Spring Beauties, Violets and More

May is a wonderful time to collect wild edibles.  Plants are mature enough to make identification easy, especially since so many are in bloom.  Join Dr. August F. (Fritz) Schmitthenner, OSU Professor Emeritus from the Department of Plant Pathology and founder of The Wilderness Center’s Botanizers Club for a short identification walk and tasting.  This meet-up will feature spring beauties, violets and other May favorites.

The meet-up is free and open to the public

The event will be held at The Wilderness Center's Buckeye Room in the Hart Interpretive Building located at 9877 Alabama Avenue SW in Wilmot.  Please contact Barb at[masked] ext. 20 or email [masked]

for more information.
