What is your experience with wild edibles?

I've been foraging for a year now. My interest grew as a result of a class I attended. My parents took me picking wild blueberries growing up...other than that my mom was pretty much AGAINST wild edibles. In her estimation, foraging was something people did out of necessity during the depression but was otherwise something to be avoided...please pass the " Shake & Bake!"

I work at The Wilderness Center, a nonprofit nature center and conservation organization in Wilmot, Ohio. I hope to meet others interested in foraging and wild edibles.
