My name is Laura and I've recently started two small businesses and work out of my home. I moved back to the Bay Area 5 years ago and wasnever able to find work with my degree. Decided it was time to stop letting this economy dictate my future.
What is your Most Important Question Your Have, or Problem you Need Solved for your Business right now?
I have always been an employee, so I very much have an employee mentality. Now I am responsible for every aspect of my business. I need to be in the head of a business person and understand how they look at their responsibilities, schedules, etc. I learn best from examples that others share with me. It's basically a perspective that right now I don't share with a experienced business person and I need it!
What Topics do you Want to Learn More about? (please be specific)
Once interest is peaked about what I have to share with a prospective client or team member, I struggle with how to say very little or just enough to make them want more. I am a very talkie, fun ask questions kind of person who enjoys conversation and getting to know people. BUT, when this comes to my business I feel this is working against me. I would like to learn more about some KEY strategies and techniques of communication styles for conversations I have time to sit and talk as well as quick encounters where I only have a moment to make an impression.
