Studio Photography is the classic field of taking photos in a closed space, called a studio :) it involves scary items like flash lights, reflectors, backdrops ring lights and light meters.

This class is a basic introduction to studio photography using portrait photography as a starting point to understand the basics when working in a studio, before going to more advanced subjects.

I've spend the past 3 years in a studio and take about 15k photos per year in it. I want to introduce you to this field and teach you in small groups about this topic.

The idea for this class is that it is a step in a sequence of classes that takes you through the various areas of studio photography. Portrait, Fashion/Lingerie and Nudes. Each step adds to the equation, so when we're getting to the more difficult items you're well prepared for it.

In this class you learn
- How to setup your camera
- How to measure light
- How do studio flash systems work
- What is a ring light and how to use it
- Setup a basic light setup for a portrait/head shot
- Composing a head shot
- Postprocessing a headshot (lightroom)

The class was very interesting and I learnt a lot! To improve it even more I would have liked to get some material with facts to study or go back to at home. Could be recommended settings, how exactly to work with light metering, the spyder cube, different flashes and reflectors etc.

Can I already put myself on the list for another upcoming event like this? Unfortunately I don't have the time and the possibility to watch new events and react as they come in. Like that I have no chance to participate :-(

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
