Dear all, The Photo International Club Zurich (https://picz.ch) in collaboration with Mark Howells-Mead (http://permanenttourist.ch), organizes a Course to learn how to shoot fashion and Portrait with portable strobes on location (strobist style).
There will be also 2 models (one male, one female) and one make up artist.
There are still some places available so, if you want to join, please register. We'll make 4 places available in the meetup group but other places might be still available on www.picz.ch.
Mark Howells-Mead has extensive experience in practicing and teaching photography. One of his favorite topics is on-location strobist shooting. With this 1-day workshop, he proposes you to learn or improve portrait and fashion shooting on-location (outside the studio environment) with portable strobes (portable gunflash).
This course is for you if you want to improve in:
- dealing with a model,
- managing the environment of the shooting location
- using portable strobes on location
- balancing natural light with strobes
- or if you want to add some pictures to your portfolio
In this class, you will learn the theory and practice of on-location strobist portrait shooting. You will have the chance to shoot with a male model and a female model and take pictures in different lighting conditions and in 2 different environments. We will guide you through the learning and practising to help you improve your skills.
English or German, according to the attendees' requirements
7h from 10.00 to 17.00 (incl. a break for lunch/snack)
- Camera: Camera, preferably with separate flash although this is not required.
Which use can I do of the pictures taken during the day?
You will have a model release for non-commercial publication, so you will be able to insert the pictures taken during the day in your portfolio, website or any other social network, providing you mention the model and make-up artist. In return, you should provide to the model and the make-up artist 1 or 2 finalised pictures for their portfolio, websites and social network where they will of course mention you as photographer, which will increase your visibility on the web.
