TO THE LIGHTHOUSE by Virginia Woolf - December 15 Discussion

Hello all you amazingly smart and terrific people!

With the Thanksgiving holiday fast approaching, we should all take into consideration everything we are thankful for: our families, friends, lives, etc. Here at the Awesome Fun Intelligent Book Club for 20s and 30s, we are thankful for authors such as Virginia Woolf... and to show that appreciation we are going to be reading her novel TO THE LIGHTHOUSE for our next discussion, which will be held on December 15!

I'm sure many of you will be able to tackle this long before the discussion day with all the holiday traveling that will be done. So however you celebrate, if you do in fact celebrate, have a great holiday break, try not to get hit with too hard of a food coma, and enjoy this great read in time for what will surely be the best discussion you will have in the month of December!

Please note that the location is now going to be in the Griffith Park Observatory as it will most likely be too chilly to sustain such a long conversation outside!

Oh no. I thought the meetup was today. Didn't enjoy that book that much so maybe it was for the better.

I'm going to be a little late to the meetup Sunday because I have to do early check in for my Monday flight at about 2:15. I'm going to get an A-group boarding number if it kills me!

I could if I had a smartphone. Alas, I have an ancient and slow Blackberry.

I've been reading (and loving) the novels, (and itching to talk about them) but things keep coming up. Bah! I truly hope I can make the next one.

I've missed the last two meetings due to, well, life -- I didn't even manage to start the Faulkner yet -- but I'll do my very best to make it to this one!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
