WSPD Health Care Town Hall Forum Rescheduled

Premier (map)

Selected By: Anna Allegrini

WSPD and other sponsors have rescheduled their original meeting which was suppose to happen last week. They will be presenting both sides of the debate. Health care professionals, business owners and insurance reps will be on hand to discuss both sides of the debate. Elected officials from Ohio and southeast Michigan have been invited, but we do not know who has confirmed. Marcy Kaptur will not be in attendance, according to Brian Wilson this afternoon.

Good selection of panelists...serious with a lighter note (always) from Brian. Learned more about HSA's. And also pro/con of flu shots. Thanks

Very well done...............it's too bad, though, that the proponents of the current Heath care reform ideas didn't show. That could have made for a very interesting discussion though perhaps that would have been most difficult to be restrained. I learned so much, took two pages of notes which I hope I can later, felt overwhelmed many times, but loved the fact that as I looked around the room, I felt like I was in the comfort of "my WSPD family". The whole evening was very worth the time!

It was excellent, I particularly enjoyed Dr. Tenpenny's presentation and responses to audience questions. This is the 3rd time I've heard Dr. Halsey speak, nice man, great ideas on paper, very knowledgeable.......my friend said they should put a timer on his responses - I told him it would probably go off between words. The main reason I attended was to learn a little more about H1N1 and Dr Tenpenny and I wasn't disappointed.

Thank the Lord that there are so many people who care enough about the direction our country is moving in that they showed up for this one. There was a lot of good information shared and the crowd was asking good questions!

I've always been leary of flu shots, now i'll never get one! I'll just have to eat my Wheaties, anti-oxidents and drink echinacea tea and hope for the best. Excellent TownHall meeting!

I was pleased to see such a large turnout and hear a very informative panel. The five prepared questions were on point as were the ones from the audience. And of course Mr. Wilson was entertaining.

Very well organized, could not hear all of the speakers at all times, but overall very well done.

I think a lot of eyes were opened re the expense and total government control if HR 3200 is passed. I would like to see a show of hands of Dems, Reps, Inds, etc. so everyone can see that it is a mixed group and not all Rep/Conserv.

    Not a problem..good time

Was very interesting. Learned a few more interesting facts... I did think tho, there was supposed to be an opposing view from someone on the panel... I particularly enjoyed hearing what Sherri Tenpenny had to say.... Wish there were more physicians like her around....she is out there actually doing her part to keep medical costs down, as well as educating her patients..

Thank goodness for WSPD and the CoL for putting on forums to educate the public about what our government is trying to do to us and our health care system. I have attended several forums and I learn something new every time.
  • Dolores & Richard Schoenhofer
I learned so much more about the health care topic as well as about related issues.....which makes me more able to talk with and hopefully influence others .....this was a very valuable event.
