TPS Board may be making a decision on who will perform the Audit.
Please attend this meeting and ask TPS Board to delay their decision until the January 22nd TPS board meeting. This will allow you and the public to attend a Performance Audit Workshop Seminar thats being held on January 15 (Maumee theater, 6:30 pm) (please RSVP for that Workshop)
Its been 15 years since the last audit, 1 month isn't going to make any difference.
IMPORTANT - If you want to speak at the TPS board meeting, (please, yes you do want to speak) then you must call the TPS Treasure Office and have them put your name on the agenda.
Call [masked] (Treasures Office)
Tell them you wish to speak at the TPS board meeting. They will take your name and place you on the agenda. Show up at the TPS meeting (5:30pm)
When you speak, Thank them for making a decision to do the Performance Audit.
Tell them about the Performance Audit Workshop on January 15th. This workshop is open to the public. (Maumee Theater, Tuesday Jan 15, 6:30 pm). The workshop will have presentations by the State Auditor, and Evergreen Solutions. You would like to see these presentations at that workshop, so that you would know what a Performance Audit can cover, and what it will do.
You would like them to delay their decision until after the public has had an opportunity to see these presentations. Invite them to attend this event.
You might also ask the board if they will be form a Implementation Committee" to monitor the status of implementing Performance Audit findings.
Thats it, easy and simple.
Chuck, They will be conducting the audit, We want them to conduct the type of audit that will be usefull to the community. i.e. a fiscally based performance audit, similiar to what the State does.
We do NOT want them to use Council of Great City Schools. We want them to use either the State, or we're looking into Evergreen.
The purpose of the January 15th workshop is to let the community see exactly what we are asking for.
