President Obama and his Obamaniacs are of the mind that all Americans should bow down in gratitude for all that he has done for us. Commenting on hundreds of Tax Day Tea Parties and related events across the country, His Incompetence said,

“Since today happens to be tax day, I should just point out that one-third of the Recovery Act went to tax cuts, tax cuts that strengthened the cornerstone of the American dream. I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes, taxes. You would think they would be saying thank you. That's what you'd think” (transcript purloined from http://www.rushlimbau....

Other commentators have stolen my thunder about what we should be thanking Obama for, such as mushrooming deficits, insufferable arrogance, prolonged recession and unemployment, weakening of national security, humiliating the nation and her allies, expansion of federal power, erosion of liberties and, especially, motivating millions of Americans to take back their country, so I won’t take that angle.

What I haven’t heard him thanked for is his deceit. I shall address that.

Thank you, Mr. President, for showing us what a transparent liar you are. I can identify three lies just in this paragraph:

1. “One-third of the Recovery Act went to tax cuts . . . ” I’ll leave the one-third claim alone, as I don’t have figures to prove or disprove it, but it is a lie to claim to have cut taxes while at the same time demanding passage of (crap and tax) and signing into law (health care “reform”) legislation that raises existing taxes and creates new ones. “Read my lips?” This is far more insidious. George H. W. Bush at least backed down from his “no new taxes” pledge after he broke it. But you, sir, are trying to make us think you’re a tax cutter in the Reagan and George W. Bush mold when you are creating and presiding over massively punitive tax increases.

2. “ . . . tax cuts that strengthened the cornerstone of the American dream.” And what exactly is that cornerstone, Mr. President? Is it ownership of property? You yourself have said that home ownership is the American Dream. If it is, then your policies have in fact harmed that dream; because of what you and your Congress have done, home sales have plummeted, home construction has plummeted, and foreclosures have soared. What if it’s something more radical, such as liberty? Wasn’t freedom the American Dream that countless millions of immigrants came here to realize? If so, then your policies have eroded that dream by infringing on our liberty – including the cornerstone of that liberty, which is private property rights. (But just maybe, as noted by Kurt Nimmo at http://www.infowars.c..., your American Dream is one of increased government power, increased government control over the individual and the economy, and increased servitude to the government. If so, then your agenda, including the Porkulus, has not only strengthened its cornerstone; it is a key part of the cornerstone of your perverse vision.)

3. “I've been a little amused over the last couple of days where people have been having these rallies about taxes, taxes.” That is as transparent a lie as to say we protestors are racists, Nazis and Klansmen. Taxes are only part of what we protest. We also protest the government’s wholesale abandonment of the Constitution, its increased power over our lives, the damage being done to our liberty, and the slavery to debt it is forcing on future generations. That, Mr. President, is what we protest.

You can be “a little amused” by our protests, Mr. President. Believe me – we are not amused. But one thing we are thankful for is our liberty to protest, regardless of your smirking dismissal, or the efforts of your supposedly pro-free speech supporters to sit us down and shut us up.

Well, I have news for you, sir. We will not sit down, and we will not shut up. We will continue to protest, we will continue to speak out, we will continue to mobilize, we will continue to educate our fellow voters, and we will win back our country from you and your fellow statists.
