Hi, my name is Jill Rickerson and I am an Rn who was recently lost in where I wanted my career to go. I knew the floor wasn’t for me (not enough one on one) but I knew I still wanted to help people.
When I ran across an ad for a marketing rep I almost passed it right by, as I had so many before, until I started to read and research the product. Needless to say after 2 hours of on-line research and 4 hours on the phone with some people who obviously were NOT in this for more than money, I drove to Orlando and sat down to learn about the lymphedema sequential, circulating pumps. When I put one on my leg and one on my arm I couldn’t help but ask the question “why doesn’t everyone with lymphedema use this? It feels like a massage, the results are amazing, and it is Medicare approved. The answer I got was basically lack of knowledge and education.
Well, I jumped at the position and I am now Clinical Specialist for Wound Management Services, INC. We personally deliver, set-up and completely educate the patient on how to use it (on/off switch). We also do measurements before and after the first session so patient and physician can see the results! Other companies drop-ship the machine at your front door and compliance is zero because no one is there to show them how easy it is.
I could go on forever but I just wanted to introduce myself and my wonderful product and hope to explain more in person! Have meet-ups to support one another and have others who understand what you are going through. It is not a sales group, but a support group.
