Ski - Glen Alps to Williwaw Lakes to Prospect Heights

This is an easy backcountry ski trip (touring style) about 11 or 12 miles long with a nice, long, downhill run part of the way out. We will park some cars at Prospect Heights and then drive up to Glen Alps to start the trip. We'll attempt to ski to Williwaw Lakes and then ski down to the Prospect Heights trailhead. If folks want to ski back up to their car at Glen Alps, that's also an option.

Backcountry skis work best, but touring skis can be used if that's all you have. Bring appropriate gear for the weather conditions, along with lunch, water and snacks. Goggles are recommended as we may get some wind.  As usual, no dogs are allowed, per MCA club policy.

It was a bit breezy so we didn't make it all the way to the first of the Williwaw Lakes. However, snow conditions were great and we totally enjoyed the ski down to Prospect Heights. I enjoyed it so much I'm going to ski there again tomorrow!

Amy, I'll bring my chains, so I can definitely drive up to the Glen Alps parking lot.
