Hike up to Indian Pass & possible trail clearing

Since there isn't enough snow for enjoyable skiing, let's go check out the Indian Pass trail and do some trail clearing. Bring sturdy hiking boots and ice grippers of some sort as the trail will be pretty icy. Also bring lunch, snacks and water. Dress in layers for whatever conditions we have and bring a small saw and/or loppers if you have any. If not - no worries. We hope to get to the top of the pass, which means up to a 12-mile RT hike, so be prepared to be out all day.  We should get back to the cars by dark but bring a headlamp just in case.

If by chance we get a good dump of snow, this trip will change into a ski trip. So let's all dig out our "Happy Feet" and do some majorly happy snow dancing!!!

P.S. as usual, no dogs allowed.

Great weather!! We made it all the way to the top of Indian Pass. It's MUCH easier to ski this trail instead of hike, but conditions didn't allow for skiing. We did some more trail clearing and built some more little bridges. About 1 mile or so from Indian Pass and on the Ship Creek side there is great crust ski conditions.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
