The Box SF is about something different. Of course we rent the space and yes we collaborate with Meetup organizers and Event Planners, but we also produce hundreds of our own events every year. From concerts and social networking events and book signings, to food and wine events and non-profit benefits, The Box SF is about collaboration. Our Business networking events are about true collaboration. Our business conferences are about getting strategic results.

Here is some information about The Box SF! THE BOX SF is the 3rd floor of the historic 1920s William Randolph Hearst former printing plant. The windows, high ceilings and gorgeous wood are to die for. We are located in the South of Market District of San Francisco just 2 blocks West of Moscone Center at 1069 Howard Street. (Between 6th and 7th Streets) THE BOX SF is home of the award-winning branding and graphic design firm Reflectur and home of Brainfood Creative Programs. This unique private meeting, meet-up, reception, conference, wine, food, retail and creative-event space has two unique rental spaces available for many types of events.
Our goal is to bring networkers, entrepreneurs, corporations, speakers, retailers, artists, musicians, authors, filmmakers, chefs, winemakers, wine lovers, non-profits, designers, meeting planners, event planners, coaches and trainers into a fresh private collaborative space where we can share, help each other grow our businesses, and better network. We want to be able to make every event we host a connected way to support some of the amazing non-profits we already work with here in the Bay Area and beyond.
Here’s more detail on these two unique spaces: Our unique conference room can accommodate up to 50 people for a standing reception, or can seat 18-30 at its 23-foot tables made from 300 year-old antique Chinese village gate doors. The main room can easily accommodate 135 people seated and up to 175 people standing for private events, retail events and receptions, including live music, wine tasting and food parings, fashion and film events, cheese and chocolate tastings, seminars, meetings, presentations, chef and art events, comedy nights, film events, performance and collaborative artist events.
THE BOX SF is often used for business meetings, receptions, creative events, artist and social networking events, speaker series, seminars, business trainings, concerts, food and wine events, and other types of retail and product gatherings including media events. Non-profit events and artist groups are always welcome and it is a wonderful place for your next meet-up or networking event.
THE BOX SF has a retail component that offers unique artisan and hand-crafted products, one-of-a-kind objects, accessories and cool artist-designed products along with small hand-crafted wines, CDs, books, apparel, short films on DVD, gifts and antiques. The facility is a beautifully creative alternative to typical noisy nightclubs, expensive and bland hotel spaces, and not-so-creative meeting spaces. And it’s all non-smoking.
We also have teas, sodas, juices and snacks available at our food bar on a suggested donation basis. And we have relationships with full caterers, wineries, and alcohol partners for your standing or sit down reception! The area offers lots of free street parking at night and metered parking during the day.
The Fifth & Mission Parking Garage is just 3 blocks away and there are 2 other garages within 2 blocks of our location. We are between 6th and 7th Street on Howard Street at the corner of Moss Street.
Please check MUNI transit schedules and routes for the nearest MUNI access. We are two blocks from the Civic Center BART stop at 7th and Market. The space is operated by Reflectur and Brainfood Creative Programs and Seminars, and can be shown during business hours of 9–6pm Monday through Friday or by appointment.
