2016 North Georgia Wine Highway Weekends

From: Orson H.
Sent on: Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 4:29 PM

Good Afternoon Wine Enthusiasts,

North Georgia’s Wine Highway is this Saturday & Sunday, March 19 - 20, from 11:00am to 5:00pm and also the next weekend, March 26 - 27. More wineries will be open this coming weekend than next.

21 wineries are participating with each providing different types of music and or light fare.

How it works: you purchase your "Passport" for $40 and receive your souvenir glass at the first winery you visit (any of the 21 participating wineries). That allows you 5 tastings at all 21 participating wineries. Just don’t lose your passport and souvenir wine glass.

The Passport is good for both weekends. Many of the wineries are open during the week and will accept the passports for tastings during the week. If you plan on taking advantage of this, please be sure you check the hours and days of operation for the wineries you want to visit on days other that Saturday and Sunday.

The Following Wineries will not be open on Easter Sunday, March27th: Monteluce, Tiger Mountain, Yonah Mtn., Wild Berry Tasting Room, Stoewall @ Sautee tasting Room, Odom Springs, 12 Spies Vineyards, and Paradise Hills Winery.

Click here to view all participating wineries.

To see my personal recommendations (not all the event organizers agree with me), click here.

I encourage you to utilize the services of a friend as a DD or use some of the limousine services available in the wine country. Have a wonderful experience and Please Drink Responsibly.

Cheers,
Orson, Organizer
