Fall is here (or close enough). Temperatures are cooling and the days are growing shorter. The Yalies are back and the summer people are gone.
We're undergoing some changes at The Bastard's Bootcamp, too. We may have to discard our regular meeting time, Sunday evenings, due to dwindling daylight hours and scheduling conflicts. I'll keep holding them as long as at least a few people keep showing up, but we may need to start thinking about alternatives. So please, contact me if you have preferences for the time and location of our regular weekly workout.
In the meantime, we're still on for this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at our usual location near the Peabody Museum to greet the sunset with pain, sweat and miserable bliss.
The Bastard's Bootcamp offers an intense, fun, outdoor workout combining hills, stairs, body weight and core exercises to engage all your muscle groups while improving endurance and cardio. This ain't your mama's aerobics class!
You don't have to be in peak condition -- just be willing to push hard, sweat buckets and feel great when it's over. It's a beast of a workout, but you're a tough bastard.
Bring water, and a towel or yoga mat if you don't like working out on the grass. You can also bring a set of 2- to 4-pound hand weights if you want an extra challenge.
Leave the attitude at home!
