We will start at Ogden Campground, hike up to Paulina Lake and returning to Ogden Campground. Approximately 20 miles total and a gradule climb of 2500+Ft. Medium pace of 3+ mph. This is inside Newberry Crater National Monument south of Bend off Hwy 97. The trail climbs along a beautiful creek, waterfalls and dry high desert forest. Please be prepared for a long day of hiking! No Dogs allowed!

Beautiful area - looks great for snowshoeing, too. Although it sounds long the minimal elevation changes make this an easy hike overall. It's a popular area but doesn't seem crowded given the large size of the area. Thanks to the leader for a cool hike!

May I meet you at the trailhead? My child care is in Sunriver and don't want to backtrack. If so, what time? Thanks.

Wah! My knee got tweaked again today, so I guess 20 miles hiking isn't in my short term forecast. Definitely want to do this hike at some point.
