Beginner Hike the Deschutes River Trail at Eagle Crest ( dog friendly)

I love seeing fall colors and hear a river running while I hike...If you do, too, and do not mind some friendly dogs accompanying  us, join me for a 4 mile  hike from Eagle Crest into Wildcat Canyon and back . It's an easy hike . Meet us at Tumalo Coffee house ( just off 4th str in the heart of Tumalo at 10 am and carpool out  to the trailhead . We'll be back sometime around 12-1pm and " the experts " among us will partake of the wonderful baked goods and coffee/ tea at the Tumalo Coffee house . But that is optional...This hike is enjoyable in all weathers, so be prepared to bring your good gear. Call me if there are any problems finding us :[masked] Martina

The trail starts just underneath the riverside restaurant at eagle crest. I am not a map person and just know it because a friend showed me. Sorry not to be more helpful!

Hey Martina~ This sounds like a nice hike and I like the option of bringing Phreddy. I would also like to bring a friend (human). I didn't see where I could do a Plus One. Can you count me as two plus my dog? Three heartbeats :)

Your friend needs to sign up with the group to participate in events. Plus ones are not covered by the waiver. Thank you for your understanding.

I do understand and will go to my profile now to complete it; however I am wondering if this new policy now eliminates inviting our out-of-town visitors to the hikes. That is unfortunate as it's fun to bring a visitor to share in CO's beauty - both geographically and its residents.
