I’ve got poles and an F-150 with extended cab that can seat 5.  I do have poles, but no water shoes.  See you Wednesday evening, and Saturday morning.

A special announcement from Tom Ryan, Organizer of The Bend Hiking Meetup Group

Announcing a new event for The Bend Hiking Meetup Group!

What: Alder Springs Hike Saturday May 26th

When: Saturday, May 26, 9:00 AM

Where: Click the link below to find out!

Event Description: Hello Bend Hikers. Join us for a hike to Alder Springs in the canyon of Whychus creek. The hike is 8 miles and is moderate. I think it is one of the most beautiful hikes in the area. We drop about 300 feet into the canyon then hike along by the Whychus creek to its confluence with the Deschutes river. You need a decent pair of boots, plenty sun block, your camera, water and something for lunch. The biggest challenge is fording the creek!! It's best to bring water shoes and a pole if you have one. if not - I'll bring a couple of spares.

Let's meet in the parking lot outside Starbucks at Cascades Village, at 9am on Saturday 26th May. We can car-pool. It's about a 30 minute drive to the trailhead - and the last 5 miles are on dirt roads. I have an SUV. The road is OK for a regular car but if anyone else has an SUV maybe you could bring it.

Tom
