Remember that not all hikes will be appropriate for dogs. It is up to the hike leader to decide if they want dogs on the hikes that they host. I'm asking the leaders to clearly state in the event title if it will include dogs or not. If you are unsure, then you can e-mail to leader to get a final answer.
It is the dog owner's responsibility to find the regulations that cover dogs in the area that the hike will cover. Don't expect the hike leader to do that piece of work for you.
