I DONT KNOW OF ANYWHERE LOCALLY, BUT THERE IS TONS OF ONLINE SITES YOU CAN PURCHASE ONE FROM, EVEN EBAY
We got our harness on ebay - was cheap and didnt take long to get it! If we come (which were planning on) I will bring it so people can use it if they dont have one....
Also, wanted to tell you guys, the last show was awesome! We had such a good time... so worth the 3 hour drive! :-) Any plans to have one near west palm anytime soon?

There is a separate fenced dog park area near where the meetup pavillion/venue is. Never took my dog to it, so I can't vouche if it's a good area or not, but I know it's there!
I've taken my dog to the dog park there a few times, and he seems to enjoy it. There is a small dog section and a large dog section. I've never been to any other dog park so I do not know how it compares. One thing to keep in mind, there is usually a muddy patch in the back!
great show today. Thank u so much for making this possible, i know u guys put in alot of work
ON BEHALF OF THE APBC WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THERE SUPPORT, AND HOPE TO SEE YOU AT THE NEXT EVENT SOON. PICTURES WILL BE POSTED SOON. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL THE NEW FACES AND DOGS!!!

I had a LOT of fun, and so did MJ! Looking forward to the next meetup!
We had lots of fun... can't wait till next meetup. Congrats to the hang time winner!!! Will try again next time!!
Big props to Chris and the crew for putting on another good event!
We had a great time as usual!! Thanks to Ryan, Chris, Alan and everyone else for always hosting such a great event!! It was great to FINALLY get a rescue group out there and I hope they will continue to come! My "kids" always have a great time there and it's great experience in such a laid back environment!! Can't wait for the next event!!
so as punishment for me showing up late to this meetup, i was looking through the pictures and the first couple of pics had a category before best red. there were three white dogs what category was that?
there are really no rules. my dogs don't have papers but the judges judge fair by the standard of the type of pit bull you have so that it's even. you can use your personal collar or use a shabby chain show collar. usually you walk the ring (prefferably a light jog to get your dog to a nice trot) and try to keep there head up as much as possible. some people show the front of their dog but i think it's best to show the side with the dog facing to the right, NOT the left or facing
another dogs face (that happend to me, some guy turned his grunting dog around because the sun was in his eyes and my dog did not like this dog stacked up looking like it's standing it's ground and facing her face 3 feet away). the judge will then check the teeth to see if they are white, and feel the body structure of the head and hind quarters. you can pose your dog or let it stand naturally. points are taken off it your dog sits or can't stay still at all. make sure the head is up too :)
it's easy to train a dog to show, maybe not as some of the pro's out there that do an amazing job with their dogs but i dedicated an hour one day and my dog that has a bad jumping habit and is extremely hyper active can maintain somewhat of a pose and let the judge examine her.....Allen from pitbullgear not so much because she likes him and recognizes him now so she gets really excited when it's her turn to be judged by him lol. just enter, it's fun, esspecially when you see your dog improving.
So... someone answered my question. i didn't know you guys were going to have a Best White category. i remember asking last year and recommending to add a Best White category. i can enter MoMo now. i never knew what to enter her in, she's a blue and has blue spots but it's not noticeable because she has a double coat so i just really didn't know. but i hope you continue to keep this category Ryan. i'd enter MoMo every time :)
Karen, if you go to: Discussions / Message Board / APBC Information and click on "Conformation Judging" You will see what you need to do in the ring and what I am looking for when I judge for conformation.
We had a great time as always. It is great to see new dogs and faces everytime!!!Its nice to go to a FUN show and have it as laidback as they always are. I love that bully and classic dog people can get together and show!! We will keep coming back everytime!! thanks guys for putting on such nice shows. Outlaw and Cupcake thank you as well!!
it's hard to find pit bull organizers that even consider the classics anymore. i love APBC for acknowledging them still. bullies are beautiful but so are the classics! can't forget about them! i have an American Colby pit and i think she's one of the smallest and only of her kind out there. we usually come home with somethin anyways. the judges acknowledge every dog for what it is and i like that. it's nice to know my pit with no papers can win against these ABKC registered dogs. :P
Sounds like everyone had a good time - I'm sorry we missed it! Hope to see you guys next time! Chris... did you get my email?
Karen - Also check out www.ukcdogs.com they have great info on conformation and handling for shows...
Anyone know who the people were at the end of the pavillion with the big metal kennel?? They had some pups with them?? I had their card and talked with them about building a kennel for Tomko but I cannot find the card and desperately need that kennel!! Thanks!
bluestreak i think the name of the kennel was hill top but not 100% sure
the crew that had the metal cage if i'm not mistaken is named bokeybullys,go to www.bokeybullys.web.com
