$5 classes. The conformation classes are made for any style of APBT. Whatever your body style fits is what will be used when being evaluated. We are currently writing up a confirmation breakdown and will be added to the message board shortly.

There is a separate fenced dog park area near where the meetup pavillion/venue is. Never took my dog to it, so I can't vouche if it's a good area or not, but I know it's there!

I've taken my dog to the dog park there a few times, and he seems to enjoy it. There is a small dog section and a large dog section. I've never been to any other dog park so I do not know how it compares. One thing to keep in mind, there is usually a muddy patch in the back!

so as punishment for me showing up late to this meetup, i was looking through the pictures and the first couple of pics had a category before best red. there were three white dogs what category was that?

there are really no rules. my dogs don't have papers but the judges judge fair by the standard of the type of pit bull you have so that it's even. you can use your personal collar or use a shabby chain show collar. usually you walk the ring (prefferably a light jog to get your dog to a nice trot) and try to keep there head up as much as possible. some people show the front of their dog but i think it's best to show the side with the dog facing to the right, NOT the left or facing

another dogs face (that happend to me, some guy turned his grunting dog around because the sun was in his eyes and my dog did not like this dog stacked up looking like it's standing it's ground and facing her face 3 feet away). the judge will then check the teeth to see if they are white, and feel the body structure of the head and hind quarters. you can pose your dog or let it stand naturally. points are taken off it your dog sits or can't stay still at all. make sure the head is up too :)

it's easy to train a dog to show, maybe not as some of the pro's out there that do an amazing job with their dogs but i dedicated an hour one day and my dog that has a bad jumping habit and is extremely hyper active can maintain somewhat of a pose and let the judge examine her.....Allen from pitbullgear not so much because she likes him and recognizes him now so she gets really excited when it's her turn to be judged by him lol. just enter, it's fun, esspecially when you see your dog improving.

So... someone answered my question. i didn't know you guys were going to have a Best White category. i remember asking last year and recommending to add a Best White category. i can enter MoMo now. i never knew what to enter her in, she's a blue and has blue spots but it's not noticeable because she has a double coat so i just really didn't know. but i hope you continue to keep this category Ryan. i'd enter MoMo every time :)

it's hard to find pit bull organizers that even consider the classics anymore. i love APBC for acknowledging them still. bullies are beautiful but so are the classics! can't forget about them! i have an American Colby pit and i think she's one of the smallest and only of her kind out there. we usually come home with somethin anyways. the judges acknowledge every dog for what it is and i like that. it's nice to know my pit with no papers can win against these ABKC registered dogs. :P

it was a great event like it usually is. everything went great besides the heat. water was available at all times, just wish the show ring could be covered by a tent or shade. (just some input Ryan...not that you already don't know..the judges are in the direct heat and sunlight the whole entire time). Weight pull and training weight pull, Besty shows and hang time got done in a timely manner and organized fashion. nice covered paviollion with shade for members, weight pull and hang time along with picknick tables.
