Earth Matters Film Series

"Vanishing of the Bees" is the next film in the Earth Matters: Films on the Environment film series. This 2009 documentary (87 minutes) details the economic, political, and ecological consequences of a dwindling world honeybee population. It's a phenomenon with a name--Colony Collapse Disorder-- but no explanation or solution exists.

The CIG's Green Team and World Service Committee co-sponsor this community film series that focuses on environmental concerns from a variety of perspectives. This year, the films will be shown at 8 pm on the fourth Thursday of the month unless it clashes with a holiday. Team member Michael Indergaard introduces the film and leads the discussion.
