Nick Nichols at the Paramount: Oct. 3

Join fellow CPI members for Nick Nichol's Talk on October 3rd.

The conversation will be filled with images and anecdotes from the field with Michael “Nick” Nichols, longtime Crozet resident, photographer for National Geographic  magazine as well as the magazine’s Editor-at-Large for photography. A signing of his latest book, Earth To Sky: Among Africa’s Elephants, A Species In Crisis (Aperture, September, 2013) will follow in the Paramount lobby.

Tickets are $15 (you buy your own), details on the event are here:

Thanks to CPI Supporter Cathy for suggesting this Meetup. We can try to meet after the conversation, and maybe grab a beer or an ice cream on the Downtown Mall.

Hope to see you there!

Very nice presentation; the conversation, photographs and video were motivating. The whole presentation was imbued with that quandary do I document or do I intervene? I also got to meet the videographer, amazing work.

I really enjoyed it as well, and sorry Rochelle and I had to scoot so quickly after the presentation. I hope you all enjoyed it!

Nick gave a wonderful presentation. I am so impressed Not only with his photography but especially with his humanity. He is as a friend of mine used to say "good people". And his new book is wonderful.

No matter how many times I hear him speak, I learn something new. And I am inspired.

Didn't think I'd be able to make it but will just get there in time.

Just a reminder, you need to score your own ticket (see the link above in the description). There's no guarantee it won't sell out, so don't think you'll be able to get one at the box office.

I ran into Nick at the Barracks Road shopping plaza last week, and he's super excited to see people from the CPI! Bring extra $$ if you want to buy an autographed book after the show (cost unknown).

    See you Thurs! :-)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
