Art Director’s Photo Critique + Photo Website Focus Group


Please join Harald Johnson (and the partners of PhoozL) for this interesting weekday-evening meetup. (Note that food & drink will be provided… Yay!) There will be two parts to the meeting: (1) a live photo critique of YOUR *projected*  images by art/creative director, photo contest judge, and photo exhibition curator Harald Johnson; and (2) a “focus group” to run future PhoozL ideas by you and get your feedback/inputs. There is no fee or cost to participate.

Schedule

6:15 - 7:00: Settle in and start eating, drinking & mingling

7:00 - 8:00: Photo Website Focus Group (~ 1hr)

8:00 - 9:00: Art Director’s Photo Critique (~ 1hr)

+ photo bag giveaway at end


Minimum of 3 and maximum of 12-13 attendees for this meeting.


Attendee Requirements

We want to talk to photo enthusiasts (18+) who are into photo-internet use, who share or upload photos online, and who are hopefully interested in entering an online photo contest. Your photo equipment preferences and skill level do not really matter, but you should be interested in web- or app-based photo activities.

Image Preparation

If you want to have your images critiqued, please submit them *IN ADVANCE*  to: [masked]

IMAGE SPECS: After testing the projector, I changed the image specs to this: send larger-size images so details can be seen. Suggesting pixel dimensions anywhere between 2400x to 3600x (on the longest side); 1200x is the minimum size (longest side). If square, try to get around 1800x or more. File size should not matter as long as you are at these pixel dimensions.

IMAGE SUBMISSION LIMIT: 3 max per person

IDENTIFICATION: To make sure your images are grouped together, please use a common file name prefix; something like your name is good.

Food & Drink

Yes! We will have pizza (various types) and beer plus sodas and water.

Giveaway

One (1) Think Tank photo bag will be raffled off if enough attendees. Must be present to win. ($60 value)

This event is open to all CPI Supporters, Members and the public. You do not have to be a paying member of the CPI to participate in this meetup but will need solid RSVPs.

    I really enjoyed last night's meet up. I am very much looking forward to checking out Phoozl. Great and interesting conversation all around. It was not only beneficial to hear critiques of my own photographs, but others as well.     2 Weeks to Go!

    It's exactly 2 weeks until the Oct. 15 event. I'm getting excited but also noticing that NO ONE has sent me their images for critiquing! I need to have these in advance no later than Sunday, Oct. 13 max; need to check and organize the images. So PLEASE send images (3 max) to me at email address shown in signature below ASAP, OK?
