We are collaborating with the PVCC Art Club to host WIll May's first discussion about his recent artist residency in France and the project that took him there: Near and Far. He will discuss the process of exploring project concepts, crafting a Kickstarter campaign to incorporate other perspectives, and the ongoing process of making the work.

From the project blog: "The Near and Far Project is an attempt to make a creative process more open and available. Using a story, project exploration backers can assign me a point to reach, a path to traverse, or a situation to engage with in Paris."

Will is a local photographer whose primary focus is the folding, mixing, and inference of narrative using photography, drawing, installation, and performance. He served as Exhibition Director from 2006 to 2010 and helped build the non-profit LOOK3 Festival of the Photograph.

The presentation will take place in the theatre of the V. Earl Dickinson building at PVCC. See PVCC map here.
