Introduction

I love just about everything about photography! I'm interested in continuing to develop my skills, meeting up with other photographers, looking at images, talking about our favorite photographers, and so on.

How would you describe your interest in photography? Or, are you involved with photography in some other form?

I had to take a few years off from photography, and when I began my little hiatus, digital photography was still for "amateurs" and film for "serious photographers." Obviously, a lot has changed! My photo skills are far in advance of my digital darkroom skills, and although I have sold photos, my photography doesn't pay the bills. It feeds my creativity and encourages me to actually see the world around me.

What type of photography do you enjoy the most?

I like all kinds of photography, but I do very little landscape photography. I am most drawn to documentary/photojournalism, street photography, and portraiture.

Do you use a DSLR , a film, point-and-shoot camera or a combination?

I bought a Nikon DSLR in the summer of 2011, my first. I sold my last film camera a while back, and I can't say that I really miss it.

What would you like to get out of our organization?

Digital workflow and darkroom skills, and studio lighting, most of all. Also, having the opportunity to meet other photographers, critique images, and see what other folks are up to is a big draw.

A lot of work goes into planning these events. Can we depend on you to show up to an event if you RSVP?

If I say that I'll be there, I'll be there.
