The fascinating thing about experiencing paranormal phenomena is where it leads you - to the realization that what we perceive in life is a very small part of the larger picture, and that what it takes to be happy is only rarely found in material reality. This Meetup group is an outgrowth of the Seacoast Paranormal Research Group. There, the focus is on networking, socializing, and trying things on your own. Here is the next step for those truly interested in the possibilities of a Spiritual and other hidden realms, and it's about education, participation, and community.

Consciousness Studies is a group dedicated to developing a community of like-minded persons, and is wholly funded by, and its meeting space provided by, Kitt Research Initiative, LLC (KRI). KRI is gracious enough to provide space for a great number of our meetings on a strictly donation-based level. Let's not let them down.

Empath EMPOWERMENT Gathering
Please note that after 9 years, I am updating this event (formerly the Empath Support Gathering) to be a bit more structured and focused on EMPOWERING you as an Empath so you can go from surviving to thriving!
Each month, we will focus on a different topic aimed at giving you practical information, tools, and techniques that you can use in your day-to-day life to help you manage your own energy as well as the energy of the world around you. You will leave with usable tools and possibly even homework so that you can continue to your efforts started in class. Learning how to use these tools will enable and empower you to be your best Empathic self. Towards the end of the meeting, we will open the discussion up to general Empath-related topics or questions.
Monthly topics will come from my decade-plus of research and hands-on in-the-field use of various tools and techniques as well as from books such as (but not limited to):
· The Vital Empath by Valerie Lofaso
· The Empath Survivors Guide by Judith Orloff
· Boundary Boss by Terri Cole
· The Four Agreements by don Miguel Ruiz
· Ask Your Guides by Sonia ChoquettePlease note that you do not need to read the books to be a part of the discussion!

This monthly group is led by Valerie Lofaso, who learned the term Empath nearly 20 years ago and found that everything fell into place and explained the struggles and strangeness she experienced her whole life. She has since spent much of her time learning about her own intuitive abilities and how being an Empath affects them and her everyday life. She now wants to share what she’s learned in a safe environment where other Empaths can come and share their experiences as well.
Valerie is an Empathic Medium, Reiki Master/Teacher, paranormal investigator, and author of the young-adult series “A Tangled Web of Friends”. The first four books in the series are currently available in print and eBook at all online booksellers, and her book The Vital Empath: A Workbook for Developing Your Intuition as an Empath is also now available – email (below) for information.
