Jam Session at Brad's house in The Colony!

Let's rock!

We'll have some open jam time for everyone to let their hair loose and try to get a few songs totally rocked out (That means we play them a few times over to get them right). I have a 100W 16 channel mixer and a couple Peavey speakers, and a few mikes.

I'll also have some beverages and munchies, and will appreciate any additions to the "collection".

I've been doing my homework regarding the mixer settings and speaker placement, so we should sound even better this time!

Some songs that worked well last time:

1.  Cinnamon Girl

2.  Ohio

3.  White Rabbit

4.  Gloria

5.  Crossroads

6.  Louie, Louie (we can try swinging into Wild Thing next practice, perhaps).

We can probably improve on:

1.  Sweet Home Alabama

2.  Hotel California (this one will  be a major project)

New songs to try!

1.  Beer (I wrote this one)

2.  Twist and Shout

3.  What I like about you

4.  52 girls (a B-52s number)

6.  Blitzkrieg Bop

No problem - I kind of had to do something this weekend due to scheduling around the kids' spring break. Maybe next time...

Okay.... I'm afraid the "52 girls" song is not something I've got the "chops" for. Quite Honestly, I'm not too crazy about the song. It's muddy and repetitive. There are a LOT of better choices from the B-52s. If you guys wanna work on that one, maybe Dawn can do the vocals. It's just not my thing.

Do you have any other suggestions from The B-52s? I'd picked 52 girls since it's somewhat easy to play (the repetitiveness is part of what makes it easy...).

I was thinking of picking up Planet Claire or Private Idaho, also. Rock Lobster would be a project because of all the starts & stops...

Brad, I am still at work. Wanted to come and hope you do the jam again.
